A Hole In The Heart Of Our World

If you haven't realised already. Nature is the heart of our world, it's what breathes life into every living being. Silences the restless mind and brings joy and peace to our soul. However, throughout the years we have already begun creating a whole in the heart of our world and it just does not seem to stop.

Over the years cutting down trees have gone from a necessity, when you only took what you really needed to pure greed and destruction for selfish purposes.

Yes it's good to modernise, to improve standard of living but not at the cost of our very own extinction. Humans cannot live without nature it's what keeps us alive but nature can survive and easily flourish without humans. That just shows what little power we think we have.

We as humans think we can do whatever we want without thinking of the consequences. Often brushing it off and leaving someone else to deal with it.

"I'm not going to be here, it's fine, i will do what i want, i will be dead then, so it doesn't bother me."

This is the saying that can usually be heard or even thought of by most. But we are leaving this world in chaos for future generations. Not even that. We are creating chaos for ourselves.

At the rate we are destroying our woodlands and forests we are more likely going to get caught up in our mess before anyone else.

Trees are part of our natural flood prevention measures. Home to so many living beings that make up and keep our ecosystems balanced. They absorb tonnes of carbon dioxide from our atmosphere continuously and release oxygen into the air. The very same oxygen we breathe. So having woodlands and forests is something we should not be taking for granted. Instead, we should be protecting whatever we have left and filling in the hole we created in the heart of our world.

By getting involved in planting more trees. By not taking more than what we need from nature. By using our knowledge and intelligence to preserve what we have and finding alternative solutions when modernising. By getting involved in signing petitions that help save what we have. By getting involved and doing what we can, even in the smallest of ways, we can be part of the change we want to see.

If we protect and save nature, nature will take care of us and ultimately we are saving ourselves in the process.
